OVEN FISH CHOWDER | |
1 lb. white fish 4 slices potatoes 1 bay leaf 2 tsp. salt 1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter 4 whole cloves 1 clove garlic 3 chopped onions 1/2 c. white wine or non-wine vinegar 2 c. boiling water 1 tsp. dill weed White pepper, if available 1 can evaporated milk Combine all ingredients (except for can of milk) in oven proof dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from oven and just before serving add 1 can evaporated milk and a handful of dried or fresh parsley. |
