HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder (rounded)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. fresh lemon, if desired
Have 1/2 c. milk hot with 1 tbsp. butter

Beat 2 eggs stiff. Add sugar and beat well. Add dry ingredients and flavoring. Stir hot milk in slowly and beat. Put in oven quickly, 350 degrees, 30 minutes.
