ONION PIE 
Pastry for 9 inch 1 crust pie
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can French fried onions
4 eggs
2 c. milk
2 oz. shredded sharp cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of cayenne
4 oz. shredded cheese

Prepare pastry for 9 inch pie. Line plate. Bake at 450 degrees for 7 to 8 minutes. Take out and fill with most of the French fried onions.

Beat eggs, blend in milk, then 1/2 cup cheese, salt and cayenne. Pour over onions in pastry. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Sprinkle remaining onions on top and bake 5 to 10 minutes. Knife inserted in center should come out clean. Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes before serving.
