NEVER - FAIL CHOCOLATE FROSTING 
4 tbsp. softened butter
1 egg
2 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tbsp. milk
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 pkg. Redi-Blend unsweetened chocolate OR 2 sq. melted unsweetened chocolate

Combine all ingredients and beat thoroughly. Spreads easily and stays soft on cake.

Chocolate may be omitted if you want a white frosting to be used as is or colored with food coloring.
