MOM'S CINNAMON CRISPS 
1 c. shortening (part butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, salt, and soda. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and chill about 1 hour or more. Make into balls and roll in cinnamon-sugar. Bake at 350 degrees.
