WON TON 
1 (16 oz.) pkg. won ton wrappers
3/4 lb. ground pork
3 oz. shrimp, chopped fine
10 whole water chestnuts, chopped fine
1/4 c. finely chopped green onion
1 egg, beaten with fork in separate bowl
1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger or 3/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cornstarch

Mix meats with all ingredients except egg. Put 3/4 teaspoon meat mix in center of wrapper, brush egg around wrapper edges; fold wrapper into desired shape, pressing edges to seal. Deep fry at 350 degrees until browned, turning won tons as frying to be uniformly cooked.
