ELEANOR'S EASY POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter, softened
1 3/4 c. sugar
5 lg. or 6 med. eggs
2 c. sifted plain flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add flour, a little at a time, continuing to beat. Add vanilla. Bake in greased and floured bundt pan at 325 degrees approximately 55 minutes.

NOTE: No milk is used in this recipe.

VARIATION: When cake has been in oven for about 12 minutes, sprinkle chocolate chips on top of batter. They will sink in just right but if they are added at the beginning they will sink to the bottom of the cake.
