GIANT CINNAMON ROLL | |
2 (1 lb.) loaves frozen bread, thawed 1/3 c. butter 1/3 c. granulated sugar 1/3 c. brown sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 1/4 c. powdered sugar 2 tsp. vanilla About 4 tsp. milk Grease 12-inch pizza pan, set aside. On lightly floured surface, flatten dough. Cut each loaf into 4 pieces (8 total). Form each piece into rope 18 inches long. Brush each rope on all sides with melted butter. Stir together sugars and cinnamon. Place mix in shallow pan or large sheet of foil. Roll rope in sugar mix to coat evenly. Shape roll into coil in center of greased pan. Roll another rope in sugar. Attach to first coil. Continue coating and attaching to form 10 to 11 inch circle. Sprinkle remaining sugar mix over cake. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Cover and let rise in warm place until double, 30 to 40 minutes or cover with plastic wrap and let rise overnight in refrigerator. Remove from refrigerator and let stand 15 to 20 minutes before baking. Bake in 350 degree oven 30 to 35 minutes. To prevent over browning, cover last 10 minutes. Cool 15 minutes. Stir together powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk to make a thick glaze. Spoon over cake. Decorate with cinnamon and pecans. Serve warm. Serves 16. 1/6 = 275 calories. |
