JELLO PRESERVES 
2 c. chopped green tomatoes
1 1/2 to 2 c. hot water
2 (3 oz.) pkg. Jello
2 c. sugar

Chop or grind the green tomatoes, depending on the consistency and texture you want for your preserves. Add tomatoes to hot water and mix in sugar. When mixture begins to boil, add Jello. Lower heat and simmer 20 minutes.

Pour into hot sterilized jars and cap tightly. Use strawberry Jello for strawberry preserves, cherry for cherry, etc. For orange marmalade, use orange Jello and add grated orange rind. Try new flavors and create your own favorite!
