BUTTER COFFEE CAKE 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 c. cream cheese
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 unbeaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk

Cut 1/4 cup butter into 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar to make crumb mixture.

Mix together 2 cups flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Cream 1/2 cup butter with cream cheese and 1 1/4 cups sugar. Blend in unbeaten eggs and vanilla. Add milk alternately with dry ingredients, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Blend well. Turn into greased 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle crumb mixture and 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
