PIZZA BY THE YARD 
1 (18 inch) loaf French bread
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
Pepper
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
3 tomatoes, sliced
6 slices American cheese

Cut loaf in half lengthwise. Brown meat lightly; drain off grease. Add Parmesan cheese through tomato paste and mix well. Spread evenly on each half of bread. Broil 5 inches from heat for about 10 minutes. Watch and don't burn. Remove from broiler and alternate cheese slices and tomato slices down each half of bread. Broil until cheese melts. Cut each half of bread into 4 or 5 chunks.
