DATE MAYONNAISE CAKE 
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
1 c. cut up dates
1 c. white sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. Miracle Whip
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. canned milk

Add soda to boiling water and pour over dates; set aside. Mix white sugar, flour, nuts and Miracle Whip all together, then add date mixture and mix thoroughly.

Bake in 9x13 inch greased cake pan. Sprinkle over the top the brown sugar, milk and nut meats. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. May be served warm with Cool Whip.
