COCONUT SLICES 
Bottom crust:
1/2 c. butter
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add flour and salt. Press dough into a greased 8 inch square cake pan. Bake at 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until light brown. Spread with topping and continue baking at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Topping:
3 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/4 c. shredded coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs until fluffy. Add brown sugar and beat until dissolved. Add flour and baking powder. Mix until smooth. Fold in chopped nuts, coconut, vanilla. Spread over baked layer and continue baking.
