FRUIT NUT CAKE 
1/2 c. cashews
1/2 c. filberts
1/2 c. pecans
8 oz. pitted dates
1/2 c. walnut halves
1/2 c. dried apricots
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. golden raisins
1/2 c. pitted prunes
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs

Or 1 1/2 cups assorted mixed nuts.

Place nuts and fruits in large bowl; mix. Sift dry ingredients over fruit; mix well with wooden spoon. Beat eggs until fluffy. Add vanilla. Add to fruit; mix. Put stiff dough into loaf pan and bake at 300 degrees for 1 3/4 hours. Cool on rack.
