CRUMBLE TORTE 
6 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. confectioners' sugar
3/4 c. bread crumbs (homemade)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 pt. whipping cream

Separate eggs and beat yolks with sugar. Add dates, pecans, bread crumbs and baking powder and mix. Add beaten egg whites, then flavorings. Grease sides and bottoms of two cake pans and then put waxed paper on bottom of each. Divide mix evenly between the two pans. Bake for 25 minutes in 350 degree oven. Cool. Serve with whipped cream between layers, on top and sides. Decorate with pecan halves.
