SWISS CHEESE FRENCH BREAD 
1 med. onion, finely chopped
1/2 lb. butter
2 heaping tsp. poppy seeds
Dash of salt
French bread loaf
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Swiss cheese slices

Saute onion in magarine. Add poppy seed and salt. Cut French Bread into 2 inch slices, taking care not to cut all the way through. In each cut place a slice of Swiss cheese. Spoon onion mixture into each cut. Wrap securely in foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Serves 8. Gooey, but good!
