OLD-FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING 
4 c. soft bread crumbs
2 c. milk
4 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins

Place crumbs in buttered 1 1/2 quart baking dish; set aside. Scald milk and butter; pour into large bowl, beat in eggs, sugar, cinnamon, salt and raisins. Fold liquid mixture into crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Makes 6-8 servings.
