DINETTE CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter
1 1/3 c. milk
2 tsp. flavoring
2 eggs

STREUSEL:

1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter, melted

GLAZE:

Blend 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar with about 1 tablespoon milk; drizzle over cake.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Add shortening, milk and flavoring. Beat 2 minutes, medium speed on mixer or 300 strokes by hand. Add egg. Beat 2 more minutes. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and bake for 1 hour.

Cake good without streusel and just with confectioners' sugar sprinkled over cake. If you make it with streusel pour half batter in pan, half streusel, remaining batter and remaining streusel. You can also make cake with mini chocolate chips or finely chopped walnuts.
