HAWAIIAN PINEAPPLE TORTE 
Sift together:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Cream:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg

Add:

1 c. undrained crushed pineapple
1 tsp. vanilla

Put in greased, floured 9 inch pan. Top with 1/2 cup (or a little more, if needed) brown sugar to cover top of torte. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Serve warm either with whipped cream or ice cream, or it is great served plain!
