NUTMEG COOKIES 
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. shortening or butter
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix dry ingredients. Cream shortening or butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix and add to dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and mix. Shape into roll and chill well or freeze and slice and bake as you like. Wonderful warm. Bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
