CARAMEL CHOCOLATE BARS OR "OVER
INDULGE BARS"
 
1 (16 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 (18 oz.) box German Chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. evaporated milk
8 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. walnuts, chopped

Combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in double boiler. Stir until caramels are melted. Remove from heat.

In large bowl combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, mix well.

Divide cake mixture in half. Press half in a greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 6 minutes. Remove from oven.

Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over bottom layer. Then spread caramel mixture over chips and nuts.

Crumble remaining cake mixture over caramel mixture and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes. Cool and then chill for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
