JAPANESE FRUIT CAKE 
6 eggs
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 box raisins
2 c. nuts
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

FILLING:

1 fresh coconut
Juice of 2 lemons
2 c. sugar
1 c. hot water

CAKE: Cream butter, eggs and sugar; add flour, baking powder and milk alternately, beat; add raisins, nuts, spices and flavoring. Pour into greased and floured pans and bake at 350 degrees. Makes 6 layers or 2 cakes with 3 layers each.

FILLING: Mix and bring to a boil. Use red cherries and pecans to decorate.
