HAMBURGER-POTATO CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
5 or 6 med. potatoes
1 onion
Garlic salt
16 oz. pkg. of sliced American cheese
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef and drain, chop onion and saute with meat. Peel and cut potatoes into thin round slices. Mix 2 cans of soup with 1 1/2 cans of water.

In a large casserole dish start making layers of ground beef and sauteed onions, garlic salt, potatoes, 5 slices of cheese, salt, pepper. Make about 3 or 4 layers in this order. After making all layers, pour cream of mushroom soup on top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
