FRUITCAKE COOKIES 
COMBINE AND SET ASIDE:

6 c. pecans, cut in half
2 lb. candied cherries, halved or mixed fruit
1 lb. raisins, seedless
1/2 c. flour, sifted

SIFT TOGETHER AND SET ASIDE:

3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg

BEAT UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY:

1/2 c. butter, soft
1 1/2 c. brown sugar

Stir in 4 eggs, one at a time, to the above mixture. Beat until well blended. Add sifted dry ingredients alternating with 1 cup of whiskey. Blend in fruit mixture. Drop batter by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 300 degrees for about 15 minutes, cool. Store in layers separated by waxed paper in tightly covered containers.
