TOFFEE TOPPED CAKE 
1 (13x9") cake
2 c. brown sugar, well packed
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. (1 stick) soft butter
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 egg
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/2 c. walnuts

Blend brown sugar, flour, butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Remove 1 cup of the mixture and reserve. To remaining mixture add the baking powder, salt, vanilla, milk and egg. Mix until smooth and blended.

Butter a 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Turn batter into pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle reserve crumbs over evenly, then sprinkle with chocolate morsels and walnuts. Bake 30 minutes to 35 minutes, until cake pulls away from sides of the pan and center tests done.
