POUND CAKE WITH SOUR CREAM GLAZE 
2 c. cake flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. room temperature butter
1 c. sugar
1 3/4 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
3/4 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. sour cream

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray or flour loaf pan. Beat butter and sugar until very fluffy. Beat in 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla. Add eggs, one by one, beating well after each one. Beat in flour and salt until just smooth. Pour into loaf pan and cook until toothpick comes clean when stuck in center, about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Cool completely before glazing.
