CHEESECAKE DIAMONDS 
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and brown sugar. Add flour and nuts and mix well. Set aside 1 cup mixture for topping. Press remainder in bottom of 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Blend granulated sugar and softened cream cheese until smooth. Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Beat well. Spread over bottom crust; sprinkle with the reserved 1 cup topping. Return to oven; bake 25 minutes more. Cool, then chill. Cut into diamonds. Yield: 16.
