HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE | |
4 eggs, room temp. 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. melted butter 1 c. hot milk 2 c. sifted cake flour 2 tsp. baking powder Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored. Beat in sugar very gradually. Add salt and vanilla. Beat in hot milk and butter very quickly. Beat in flour and baking powder. Pour into 2 (8") greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Spread jam between layers. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top. |
