PAT'S FAMOUS BROWNIES | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1 1/2 sticks softened butter 1 c. chopped walnuts 1 c. chocolate chips 1 sm. can evaporated milk 7 oz. caramels Melt caramels in double boiler with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Stir constantly. Mix butter, remaining milk and cake mix in bowl; add nuts. Pour 1/2 cake batter in 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Put chocolate chips on; spread on caramel. Spread remaining batter on top. Bake 16-18 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Tastes great frozen or at room temperature. |
