BUTTERMILK POUNDCAKE 
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 sticks butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. each of lemon & orange flavoring

Sift all dry ingredients together. Cream sugar and butter until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, creaming well after each addition. Add milk and flour alternately. Add flavoring. Beat well. Place in greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Be sure to start in cold oven and don't open the oven door until baking time is up or cake will fall.
