BEEFY NOODLE BAKE | |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles butter 1 lb. beef chuck, ground 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce or 1 (16 oz.) jar Prego or Ragu 1 (8 oz.) container cottage cheese 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1/4 c. sour cream 1/3 c. chopped green onions 1 tbsp. minced green pepper Early in day: Cook noodles as label directs. In skillet, in 1 tablespoon butter, brown chuck. Add tomato sauce. In bowl, mix cottage cheese and next 4 ingredients. In 2 quart casserole, put half of noodles. Cover with cheese mixture, then rest of noodles, 2 tablespoons melted butter, meat mixture. Chill. One hour before dinner: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake casserole 45 minutes. Even the Altar Guild ladies came back for seconds! |
