LAZY MAN'S COBBLER
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 (21 oz.) can pie filling or sliced fresh fruit (I use peaches)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place butter in a 13x9-inch pan while oven is heating up.

Mix all dry ingredients and stir in evaporated milk. Pull out pan and pour in mixture, then plop fruit on top. Do not stir.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 45 minutes or until brown.

This is a classic recipe that everyone loves. You can use any kind of fruit you want, but I prefer peaches because they are the easiest to work with. You should add more sugar if you like a sweeter cobbler, or less sugar if you prefer it slightly tart. The crust is also easy to make and the texture will be a little dry, but that's okay! This recipe is perfect for when you just want to do something quick and easy.
