DUTCH APPLE CAKE 
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
Apples
1/2 c. butter
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp. milk

TOPPING:

3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Sift dry ingredients. Combine with butter. Add egg yolk and milk; stir. Pat into oblong baking dish, using fingers. Slice apples and press into dough in rows.

Combine all ingredients for topping and spread over apples. Bake at 375 degrees until apples are tender. May be served with whipped cream.
