FRENCH ONION SOUP 
2 tbsp. butter
4 c. sliced onions
4 c. hot water
5 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. bottled sauce for gravy
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
6 pieces bread
Swiss cheese

In saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and cook onions until tender. Add hot water, bouillon cubes, Worcestershire sauce, bottled sauce, salt and pepper. Increase heat to high, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer about 30 minutes. To serve, top each serving with bread and sprinkle with cheese.
