1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) chocolate bar
1 c. nut meats, chopped

Cream butter; add brown sugar and work until light and fluffy. Add beaten egg yolk and sifted flour. Spread thinly on a greased cookie sheet and bake on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 18 to 20 minutes. Melt chocolate and spread on cookie surface while warm. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and cut into squares while warm.
