JOHNNIE BULL PUDDING 
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco or butter
1 lb. raisins
1 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Flour to make pretty stiff

Make a loose bag of muslin (dampen). Place pudding in cloth and loosely tie. Put in a large kettle of boiling water. Put rack in bottom of kettle. Keep covered with water. Boil 2 1/2-3 hours.
