GRAND SLAM 
Brown in 1 tablespoon shortening:

1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. onion

2 c. potatoes, diced (cooked until tender)
1 c. carrots, diced
1 c. water
2 c. tomatoes or juice
3 tbsp. tapioca

Mix altogether and put in a baking pan. Top with biscuits and bake until biscuits are done.
