CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE 
8 inch pastry lined pan
3 eggs
3/4 c. corn syrup
1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter, melted
2 sq. (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Combine eggs, corn syrup, butter, chocolate and vanilla. Stir in pecans and pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake in hot oven (400 degrees) 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 30 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Serve with whipping cream, if desired.
