WHITE MOUNTAIN CREAM 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. light corn syrup
2/3 c. boiling hot water
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, syrup and water. Place over low flame and stir constantly until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils. Continue cooking until a small amount of syrup forms a soft ball in cold water or spins a thread when dropped from tip of spoon. Pour syrup in fine stream over beaten egg whites, beating constantly. Add vanilla; continue beating until mixture loses its gloss.
