GUMDROP COOKIES 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. quick-cooking oats
1 c. coconut flakes
1 c. gumdrops, cut into small pieces

Thoroughly cream butter and sugars; add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Add oats, coconut flakes and grumdrops. Roll into small balls (not too small); put on greased cookie sheet; press flat with fork. Bake in 375°F oven for 10 minutes.

Makes 6 dozen.
