FRUITY GUMDROP COOKIES 
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. thick applesauce
1 c. gumdrops, cut in sm. pies (no black candies)
1 c. raisins

Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and applesauce, mixing well. Add flour mixture; stir until well blended. Stir in gumdrops and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes, until lightly browned.

Cook has to eat all the black ones!
