GUMDROP BREAD 
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 c. nuts
3 1/2 c. flour
3/4 lb. gumdrops, cut up (no black)
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. shortening, melted

Beat eggs with sugar. Add milk and shortening. Fold in flour and baking powder and salt. Add nuts and gumdrops. Let stand 10 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Makes one large loaf or 2 small.
