DUTCHES VEGETABLES 
3 c. mashed potatoes
1 (1 lb.) can drained, sliced carrots
2 (1 lb.) cans drained, cut, green beans
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. basil
3 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese

In a greased casserole line bottom and sides with potatoes. In a bowl combine vegetables, seasonings and butter. Pour into center of casserole. Sprinkle cheese over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes until cheese is melted. Serves 6.
