MOCK LASAGNA CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Pepper and dried basil leaves
1 (7 oz.) pkg. macaroni, cooked and drained
1 1/2 c. creamed cottage cheese
6 oz. or more grated American cheese

Brown meat and drain fat off. Add tomato sauce, garlic, salt and pepper, basil, and 1/2 cup water. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Layer in a 2 quart bowl 1/2 of the macaroni and cottage cheese, shredded cheese, and meat sauce. Repeat. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbly hot.
