RUSSIAN SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter or 1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 pt. sour cream

TOPPING:

2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. In tube pan, put layer of batter, then a layer of topping, etc. - end with topping. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 1/4 hours. Cool in pan 10-15 minutes, then on rack.
