DOWN EAST CLAM CHOWDER 
1 qt. diced Irish potatoes
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 (6 1/2 oz.) can minced clams
1/4 c. white cornmeal
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1/2 gal. water

Combine all ingredients and cook slowly for 2 hours. Good to cook in crock pot.
