PEG'S VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 bag frozen soup vegetables
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 lg. can V-8 juice
1/4 head cabbage
1 lg. onion soup mix
1 c. cooked rice or noodles
1 lg. chopped onion
2 lg. diced potatoes
2 ham hocks or salt meat substitute

May use 1 tablespoon oil and 4 drops liquid smoke and omit meat. Cook slow 1 1/2 hours. Serve with crackers or corn bread.
