2 unbaked pie shells BOTTOM LAYER: 3/4 c. cocoa 1 c. water 1 1/2 c. sugar TOP LAYER: 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 3 eggs 1 c. milk 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla To make bottom layer, mix cocoa, water and sugar together in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and then cool. To make the top layer, cream sugar and butter; add eggs. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Divide chocolate mixture evenly between pie shells. Top with cake batter. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, then at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. This recipe can be halved. |
