1/2 c. hot water
2 egg whites
3 c. sugar
3/4 c. white syrup
1 pkg. red Jello
1 c. nuts, chopped

Cook sugar, syrup and water to hard-ball stage. Beat egg whites. Add Jello until mixture stands in peaks. Slowly beat hot syrup into egg mixture. Beat until it holds shape. Add nuts and drop on waxed paper.
