LENTIL SOUP | |
Use large crock pot, fill about 3/4 full with water. 1 (1 lb.) bag lentils, washed 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes, squished 1 lg. onion, sliced 1 med. Polish sausage, sliced 2 TOPS of celery stalks, leaves and stems, chopped Bring to boil and add water as needed during cooking. Add salt and pepper to taste. This will take about 8 hours in crock pot on low. 15 minutes before serving add two dashes cinnamon. When serving in individual bowls, add one dollop of sour cream if desired. Serves 8 to 10. |
